2013 First Quarter Finished Up For RBM

The first quarter of 2013 is in the books for Randy Brown Motorsports and after three months on the road touring the country, the team racked up plenty of miles and lots of wins along the way.After a great start to the year the first few weekends out the team headed to the familiar BiLo Center of Greenville, South Carolina where it was a dominating weekend performance for Randy Brown Motorsports. Joey Parnell and Superman dominated the wheelie contest winning two out of three competitions, and was just one point shy of a third victory for the weekend sweep. Meanwhile Randy Brown and Grave Digger were riding high, taking two out of three racing victories, and sweeping freestyle for the weekend with three impressive wins.

The month of February started off in Charleston, West Virginia with a grueling four show weekend. The team battled through and continued to pile on the wins. Joey Parnell was on his game in racing as he put the Superman into the final round of all four shows on the tight Chicago Style course. Parnell was able to pick up two racing wins along with a wheelie contest win for a great weekend. Randy Brown dealt with some mechanical issues in the Grave Digger, but he wouldn’t be denied and claimed three out of four freestyle victories on the weekend.

Roanoke, Virginia would be the next stop for Randy Brown Motorsports. The team worked hard throughout the weekend, fighting for victories against six other trucks in the field. Parnell and Superman were able to wheelie their way to the winners circle twice on the weekend, and was just one point shy of sweeping the weekend’s wheelie contests. For Brown, he pushed the Grave Digger to the limit against former two time World Finals Champion John Seasock and the Grinder. The two went back and forth for victories throughout the weekend with Brown picking up one racing victory and two freestyle wins.

From Roanoke, the Randy Brown Motorsports came traveled north to Saginaw, Michigan for three shows of Monster Jam action. It was another great weekend for the team overall with plenty of victories in hand after the dust settled Saturday night. Parnell and Superman were unstoppable in the wheelie contest as they completed the weekend sweep with three wins. Brown cleaned up nicely, nearly sweeping the donut contest’s with two out of three victories. He followed that performance up by taking all three freestyle trophies with three more wins on the season.

The month of March brought the team some warmer weather and more wins as they traveled south to Pensacola, Florida. The season long consistency shined once again. Brown and Grave Digger swept the weekend’s freestyle competitions, and picked up a donut contest win despite an ailing motor hampering his efforts.

During the next week the guys got the trucks back to working order and ready for their final event in Lafayette, Louisiana at the Canjundome. Parnell and the Superman continued their success in the wheelie contest grabbing another win on Friday and a second place finish on Saturday to end the season well. Brown and the Grave Digger had another strong outing in freestyle as well. Friday night he came up just one point short of the win to Mohawk Warrior, but would bounce back and close out the season with yet another freestyle victory to add to the season totals.

With another successful first quarter over, the Randy Brown Motorsports team will get to enjoy a little bit of time off before getting back into action in Cincinnati, Ohio on April 5th at the US Bank Arena.
