RBM Goes Big in Bridgeport
For the third week in a row the Randy Brown Motorsports team was in the northeast as they visited Bridgeport, Connecticut for a four show weekend at the Webster Bank Arena. Joe Parnell started the weekend off with a bang in El Toro Loco during the wheelie competition. Parnell got the “Crazy Bull” vertical, planting the rear of the truck into the cars and stayed stuck on the tail for a moment before rolling over. The spectacular effort earned Parnell a score of 26. Randy Brown and Grave Digger came out with a great wheelie as well which also scored a 26 as they tied for second place. Parnell returned in racing and gave it all he had and worked his way through the brackets for his first ever racing victory. In freestyle Brown pushed the Grave Digger to the limit but came up just one point shy of the win.
Saturday afternoon was the second of four shows on the weekend and the team picked up where they left off the night before. Brown turned in a strong performance in racing making it to the final round before losing to the Air Force Afterburner. In freestyle Brown unleashed the Grave Digger, picking up the freestyle victory by one point.
Just hours after the second show the team went back at it for a Saturday night performance. In the wheelie competition it was Parnell with a battered bull that picked up the victory in El Toro Loco. Once again Brown and Grave Digger were strong in racing, making it to the final round before taking out the Air Force Afterburner for the racing win. In freestyle Brown and Grave Digger once again duked it out with the Air Force Afterburner for the win, with Brown coming out on top again by just one point for the win.
Sunday would be the fourth and final show of the weekend for the team. Parnell was strong in racing making it to the final round only to come up just short of the win. In freestyle the battle between Grave Digger and the Air Force Afterburner continued on, but this time Brown would finish second with a score of 25 to close out the weekend.
The next stop on the schedule for the Randy Brown Motorsports team sends the team to Dayton, Ohio for a three show Thunder Nationals weekend at the Nutter Center.
