Randy Brown Wins Freestyle in Miami

The Randy Brown Motorsports team took a trip south to Sun Life Stadium in Miami, Florida for a chance to perform on one of Monster Jam’s biggest stages. Thousands of fans came out to witness the stars of the sport compete on the huge sandy course. The night started off rough for Randy Brown and Grave Digger. During his first round race against the Michigan Ice Monster, Brown cut the first turn too tight, clipping a turning car, and flipping the truck over. The rollover would end Brown’s chances in racing but he would be back for freestyle. Joe Parnell and El Toro Loco also saw an early racing exit after a first round loss to Mopar Magic.

As the second truck out Joe Parnell and El Toro Loco got the chance to set the tone early in freestyle. Parnell came out and hit the large FMX ramp to start off his run. From there Parnell took on the table top, smashing through a boat placed in the middle of the jump. Other highlights included a great wheelstand over the jammer obstacle, another pass over the FMX hill, and Parnell finished off the boat for good as he smashed through it once again. Parnell picked up a score of 17.

After his early racing exit, Brown sought redemption in freestyle, and came out with a vengeance. Brown blitzed the floor right from the start, with multiple giant leaps before crossthreading the freestyle motocross ramp. The truck took an awkward bounce hard to the right, but Brown managed to save it from another rollover. From that point on, it was an all-out assault. No obstacle was safe as Brown conquered everything in his path. Brown attacked everything from every angle imaginable with plenty of big air, donuts, and slap wheelies, including a wheelie that he rode out on only one tire! When the dust settled, there was no doubt who the winner was, as Brown won in dominant fashion with a score of 33.
